Welcome! I’m April, and to answer the obvious question – my birthday is actually in June. I feel blessed beyond measure to be married to my best friend for over a decade and to be a mom to two girls. I’m a dreamer and a glass-half-full thinker who loves words, travel, art, and chocolate. I’ve been an elementary teacher and professor for the past 14 years, and I’m currently teaching online part-time, alongside my main job as “mom.”
The biggest part of my identity comes from my faith. I am a follower of Jesus, saved by His overwhelming and undeserved grace, for His glory. The title for this blog comes from the awesome realization that my worth as a woman, wife, and mom are found in Jesus alone, not in anything I can do. In a world of constant striving and stress, praise God that we are made “enough” through Jesus’ perfect power and strength. In Him, we are deeply loved and accepted just as we are, even as He desires to work in us to continually make us more like Him.
My goals in writing and teaching are to inspire and equip others, especially women and girls, to embrace their freedom and purpose and make a positive difference in the world. I’m humbled and grateful you’re here and hope you’ll leave with a little piece of inspiration!
